Iain Abernethy seminar 3rd May

I will be going (Steve, Kobujutsu instructor and Karate student when I get time to go) also David Jackson (the other Kobujutsu instructor and Ninjitsu Instructor, oh and don't forget Taijutsu instructor) will be attending.
Most likely Jade Hutchison (Kobujutsu, Karate and Dojo shop girl) and Darran Queenen (Kobujutsu and Karate) will also be going.

The seminar is going to be based on how to apply Kata applications in real fighting situations, refferred to as Kata based sparring by Iain Abernethy, which will be great as some Kata Bunkai looks real cool when practiced one on one compliantly, but I've always had trouble applying those same applications in a live fighting situation.
One time when I was working in security there was a situation where a guy rushed me and I reacted by attempting to apply a technique found in Kata. The reason I used the technique was because it was one that always worked for me in training, unfortunately it failed when I needed it to work in a real fight.
For me it didn't cause too much of a problem as i was able to change to a more appliable technique (a good old fashioned Gyaku zuki) but not everyone has the experience to be flexible in a real situation, Adreneline has an overpowering effect if you're not used to it.
From what I've read Kata based sparring will enable you through specific training drills to apply these techniques in even the most hectic of situations.
