Day time classes

Hi, this is just an idea, its slow at work here today so thought I'd share it with you guys!

I'm not sure how feasible this would be... I know I for one have problems making multiple night time classes because of other commitments, so would be really interested in any martial art classes run at lunch times. I used to pop to the gym at lunch and know that an hours work out can really be beneficial each day!

Any thoughts? Smile

I quite agree that lunchtime sessions might be a good idea, but I imagine there probably wouldn't be enough uptake as only those working/living close to the middle of Taunton would be able to spare enough time and having a session falling exactly in line with a lunch break would also be unlikely and hence narrow down those who could attend even further.

That being said I might extend this idea a touch actually as it has been going through my mind of late. What is the policy on 'extra lessons'? Are they available? How much do they cost? How does one organise them?

I.e. If I didn't feel one lesson of ninjutsu a week was enough could I book an extra hour or two? If I needed some extra partner practice on weapon lines in kobujutsu could someone go over them with me? If i wanted to improve a karate kata could someone give me extra guidance?

I don't know how many other people would be interested in this sort of thing, but I could see it being useful for 4 reasons: a) to aid quicker progress b) to help with partner work c) to help keep up with a quick class d) to give extra time for perfecting techniques.

(oh, and of course to bring in a bit of extra revenue for the dojo and its instructors...)

I'll stop rambling now  Smile

Yeh, I agree with Ad, only those working/living in or near taunton would be more likely to attend. Also, a majority of the dojo's students, more so in Ninjutsu, are students. But, in saying that, maybe lunchtime sessions or even full days would be possible during academic holidays, e.g. easter, summer etc.

Well I would be interested in anything that would go ahead. Like Ad, I would be interested in finding out about extra lessons. Even if a general lunch session couldnt go ahead how much for a lesson of a few people? Smile

hi,

You can book private lessons with any of the instructors, but this is charged at an hourly rate, so please speck to who ever you wish to train with to book your private session. I think this os about £30 an hour but you will have to check with Sarah
